I love that fact that you can do anything in Londo I love that fact that you can do anything in London 😀!! I’ve been wanting to try roller skiing ⛷️for ages but sadly Hyde Park is not around the corner from me. But, I made it up there this weekend with @londonxcskiclub and absolutely LOVED it. So much fun 🤩 and absolutely unparalleled as a whole body movement/exercise 🙌 Unfortunately there are no clubs on the south coast so it looks like I have to start one up myself 🙄. Children are mortified by the thought of me skiing ⛷️ around the village but who cares!? Fancy joining me??

Birthday 🥳 Parkour (not just for people in thei Birthday 🥳 Parkour (not just for people in their 20s!)

I’ve been “snacking” on movement for many years now, mostly in and around the house 🏡 & garden and while walking the dog 🐕 . It’s my favourite way of staying active, strong and mobile 💪

But like most things they are much more fun when you do it with friends 👯‍♀️(and you’ll feel a lots less self conscious 👀 ). And, your friends can’t say no when it’s your special day. Thank you to @hels_reeve @petraworth @janeuphill for being such great sports 🏏 . I had the best day filled with all the things I love 💕 

So grab your friends and get out in nature 🌳 and have some fun 🤸🏾, it really is the best way to look after your physical 🫶& mental 🧠 wellbeing!

Fancy taking up cold water swimming 🏊‍♀️ Fancy taking up cold water swimming 🏊‍♀️ ?!

Approaching my 5️⃣th season of cold water water 💦 swimming and I can’t for the water to get proper cold and to feel that “gasp” 🤪as I enter the water. It’s funny but it’s true, you do start to crave the cold after a while!

It’s a bit like your feet, if they are sensitive and weak, a walk on a pebble beach is agony. BUT having worn barefoot shoes for 7 years I now actively seek out stones, roots etc as I love the massage it gives my feet 🦶 

If you been inspired by @iceman_hof or perhaps @susanna_soeberg of the benefits of cold exposure but you really don’t like the cold (I’m with you, I HATE being cold but I LOVE the feeling afterwards 🤩!), now is the perfect time to start. The water is still relatively warm beach 🏝️ and you can gradually get used to the temperature change as the winter ❄️ approaches. If you don’t want to swim yet just take your shoes and socks off and stick your feet 👣 in (for now).

There’s loads of research backing the physical benefits of cold exposure but for me the main benefit is a mental 🧠 one. The exhilarating feeling you get afterwards is like nothing else. It feels like you get pulled out of autopilot mode and then system reboots. Feeling refreshed, re-energised and totally alive 💯!!

What’s your favourite way of keeping fit 🤷‍ What’s your favourite way of keeping fit 🤷‍♀️!? Mine’s the one that doesn’t feel like a chore. It’s fits in with what I’m already doing, no need to find the extra time 🕰️, it’s fun and it moves my whole body 🙌. 
Yes there might be the odd funny look 👀 but most of the time people just want to join in 😊.

Few “modern" inventions have a bigger impact on our health than ‘the chair’ 🪑. Most of us spend more time sitting than we do anything else (an average of 9 hours 😫!). We know that sitting too much isn’t great but do you know the true costs to your physical & mental health 🧠 ?  What does hours spent in a chair do to your alignment, pelvic floor, breathing, mood, energy to name a few?

Exercising is great but with most of us spending hours in repetitive positions our bodies are not primed to move well when we take it for a run 🏃🏼‍♀️ , play sports ⚽️ or even doing a basic thing like walking 🚶🏽‍♂️ . Not only do you not get the most out of your exercise, you’re also increasing the risk of injury 🤕.

There’s a gap between being sedentary and exercising (i.e. everyday life!) and what you do most of the time has the biggest impact on you. What can you do to sit better, sit less and sit differently? Is the chair actually the best piece of gym equipment in your house? 💪

This is a super practical session perfect for anyone who spends more than a few hours a day sitting (hello everyone!!). This is for YOU if you want to improve your physical & mental health with minimum investment! 🙌

It is definitely NOT an exercise class but you will use your body (if you want to, no pressure). The chair isn’t going anywhere so why not learn to use it to your benefit?

The world 🌎 is your gym! How do you feel about The world 🌎 is your gym!

How do you feel about staying active 🤔? Most of us know that physical activity is essential to health and well-being. But what if I told you that you don’t need to exercise, yay 😀!!

We’re so bought into the idea that “exercise” (structured, repetitive, limited, often boring!) is the only way to stay active/fit/healthy. Which often means we need to find the time 🕰️ , money 💰 and motivation 🥳 to go (drive!) somewhere where we will be told exactly what to do and for how long. Nothing wrong with that if you enjoy it! 

But if you don’t, know that there’s another way 🙌. To stay healthy you need to move your body regularly, in lots of different ways!  Getting out for a daily walk 🚶🏿‍♀️ is a great first step, and then while you’re out there, get creative 🎨Move like nobody’s watching 🤣 To feel less self conscious bring a child 👧or dog 🐶 they love joining in and all of a sudden you’re playing rather than “exercise”. How much more fun is that!?

It works for me, I’m fitter & healthier in my mid 40s than I was in my 20s!
